Introduction
In this video, I try out and compare cheap vs expensive mousepads in Fortnite! I made a video similar to this a while back with mice, so because mousepads are arguably just as important as the mouse itself, it's time to see if the same answer from the past holds true. Today I tested three different mouse pads, a $7 generic mousepad from Amazon, a $40 gaming mousepad from EpikWhale and the Mousepad Company, as well as a $100 Artisan mousepad called the Hien Soft XL that a ton of pros are using. So make sure to drop a like if you enjoy, let me know what mousepad you guys use, and also let me know whether or not you think a more expensive mousepad actually matters in Fortnite!

Hey, guys, so for this video I'm going to be comparing and trying out cheapest, expensive mouse pads in fortnite.
Now, I did this a while back with cheapest, expensive mice, real ones know that I got scammed in it.
But because mousepads are arguably just as important as the mouse itself, it's time to see if the same answer holds true.
That is why today I'll be trying out three different mouse pads at three drastically different price points, I'm talking a five dollar mouse pad from amazon.
A forty dollar, fortnite gaming mouse pad as well as a 100 artisan pad that a ton of pro players have recently been switching to it's red, thus make sure to drop a like down below if you enjoy also, let me know what mousepad you guys use and whether or not you think a more expensive mouse pad matters.
But without further ado let's get right into it today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to be looking at very cheap such as this one.
I have right here as well as very expensive mouse pads, I'm gonna keep that one a secret for now.
Oh.
And by the way you guys like this drip, this is your fellow arab merch.
I had to get the haircut to show it off as well.
Anyways back to the mouse pads, the real mousepad we're gonna begin with the actual cheap one.
I know you guys saw this and you're like, oh, my god, 5.49, mousepad.
It looks so cool.
But in reality, I kind of just got this for the thumbnail I'm, a fraud, the actual cheap mousepad I'm, gonna use also because that fortnite one was like 12 or 15.
I don't know why it was more expensive than this.
One we're gonna look at which is way bigger.
Okay.
Someone tell me why this mousepad has like five different layers of packaging.
The packaging costs more than the mouse pad itself.
But the name of this mousepad.
It is the yebumu extra large gaming, mousepad, extended, protective office desk mouse mat, knots, the professional precision tracking surface for pc, computer laptop, that's the official name.
Why is it so long? This thing was like seven dollars on amazon.
And I think you guys can tell how long it is, you know, not the girthiest.
And like I said, at the time I bought it for 6.97.
I wanted like a decently long mousepad, one that fortnight players would actually maybe use, especially if they're on a budget.
And I mean, this is not bad.
It does have like the grippy back.
I don't really know what people call it where it won't slip on your desk.
It also, I mean, it does have decently nice stitching.
Can you guys see the stitching and not my bald spot on my head? This is like weirdly, good and surprisingly, good.
I mean, obviously there's some imperfections.
Some of the stitching is a little messed up, but it's only seven dollars.
Obviously you have to try it out in game first impressions, though are that this is not bad for the price let's see if that holds up in fortnite we're gonna hop straight into an arena game, oh I'm, moving the mouse.
Okay.
The mouse pad is kind of slow, it's, definitely an interesting feeling one that I'm not really used to as you can see, though I have set up like a little hand cam.
This mouse pad is really long.
So you can't see the other end of it, but it's kind of short like just above where my finger is that's, where it ends it's, not the tallest it's kind of like dukes either way, though I am excited to try this out.
And I guess we'll see just how far seven dollars will take you.
Oh, that guy just completely outdrops me, that's, not good bro two shots.
Oh, this gun's, goated.
Okay.
We're on the board.
I will say, like I kind of just mentioned that.
This is a lot slower than the pads I'm used to the glide's, definitely not as fast we'll, see how consistent it is, but I'm a little afraid I can't lie.
Okay, little beam coming out.
We'll, see how the mechs are? Oh okay.
That's a little scary there we go is the two shot kind of goated.
Now I don't, even think I was hitting both of the shots, but its fire rate is way faster.
We'll take that.
Okay, wow.
It's like a truck.
Okay, my aim is like surprisingly, not bad.
I guess we'll see, oh that doing that retake is hard that aims.
Oh, this guy's got no mats.
Oh never mind.
He definitely has mats.
Ah, um.
Watch this there we go.
I know, my aim isn't amazing with this mouse pad.
But I don't think it's, too terrible.
The only thing that's really like gotten in my way is just the fact that it's small.
The material is not bad.
Sneak level.
5000, wait, he's, he's in the bush.
Okay.
Spray him.
Come on spray him with me.
Oh not me.
Oh yeah.
No.
Not today.
Buddy.
I have like no match.
Ah, no.
No.
I can't even blame.
The mousepad there like the mousepad was kind of not bad.
Maybe I could have maxed him if my aim was better.
But this is not bad.
Seven dollars.
Second mousepad.
We are going to be looking at.
I gotta make sure I don't show my address it's on the other side.
If you have x-ray vision, but this is like the intermediate so it's, not cheap it's, also, not expensive.
Some of you probably can guess what it is.
It is one of the mouse pad companies.
Oh, my lord.
I forget how big this is am I even in the frame, this is the xl so there's a larger.
One there's, an xxl like a full desk pad.
This covers my keyboard and my mouse as you guys know, epic whale started the company with his brother epic whale is obviously one of the greatest fortnite players of all time.
So this mouse pad is probably like a top five most popular fortnite mouse pad.
Epic whale uses it all the west pros use it that are his friends I'm, not even sponsored by them.
But I've always liked their mouse pads, just because they have like a weird texture.
Can you guys see that it's like kind of grainy? I've never really liked, you know, soft mouse pads kind of how most mouse pads are I feel like my arm would be way stickier on those.
I will say if you're used to the soft mouse pads, though this will take some getting used to like you're, either gonna love it or you're gonna hate it.
I know a lot of people who don't like it, because they say, it's, too rough.
It hurts their arm, especially if you're just throwing your arm around.
But I mean other than that, these mouse pads, definitely have some cool designs.
Oh, did I even mention the price? The price is 30.
I think a lot of them sell for like 35 40.
so it's between 30 to 40, obviously the larger ones.
You know, the dustpad ones are going to be a little more expensive.
However, I think this is like a pretty good just in between not the most expensive, but also not cheap.
And as we will, hopefully see in a second, my gameplay will back it up.
Alright? So like I just said, I did used to use this mouse pad.
That is why I decided for this one, why not play like a tournament.
So if you look, I believe I'm playing the starting loadout cup, it's kind of like an ltm.
But it does have most of the normal weapons.
I don't really know how to play it.
But I know everyone is just going to land on the top of rave cave.
I might just play it smart and land.
Maybe this gas station, oh my gosh, you not only have a loadout, but you have materials too.
I think these guys are going to land on me.
Well, oh my gosh, wait I'm, not full hp, though this mousepad is a lot slower than I remembered that guy did not kill.
Ah, holy.
Okay.
I guess I'm still pretty good on this mouse pad, definitely better than from the last one are there cars? Oh, there are cars in this interesting.
Let me get in here.
I think people just literally fight everywhere like this guy.
Oh, my aim though full piece, ah, that's, a little scary.
My aim right there.
Whoo this guy, hiding, oh, okay.
Bro there we go.
Oh, my I feel like I have enough control with this mouse pad, maybe too much.
I don't, wha, what is going on? This is genuinely the weirdest tournament.
I've ever played star wars.
Man this guy's playing no builds, I don't know what to say, oh there's a kid, no way I don't get that kill.
Well, maybe we should have stuck to arena.
I don't even know if they're real players or not, oh here we go that guy can kind of build, oh that guy can no way I was about to clip that brother, oh my.
How is that one guy not died? Oh there they go and he's dead bro.
I have no mats.
Ah, oh, oh, my gosh, I'm.
Different I'm, crazy for that.
I didn't think any of these kids would be like demons that guy was not actually bad.
Yeah, I'll.
Take that kill ew.
My aim this kid's, not bad he's.
The final boss, oh, oh, my gosh.
What what am I playing people are going through builds I'm somehow getting kills.
And you know what? Maybe this mouse bad.
Maybe this goes to show you don't need the most expensive one.
Obviously we have not tried it yet.
However, more expensive might not always mean better.
What a great lesson from papi jerian.
Oh don't shoot me.
Oh no.
If you shoot, okay, I meant to place a wall and edit the wall.
This guy's, not bad.
Oh, the aim.
What is my aim? These fights, oh my gosh, oh and now I'm, getting rolled up on by peely it's.
A, oh, oh there.
He is, oh, um, very interesting.
What I will say though this mousepad is solid.
I've obviously used it for a while I'm not on it anymore.
But after that I might just have to switch back, ladies and gentlemen, I don't think you guys are ready for the most expensive mouse pad.
Look at the amazon box.
It came in, oh my god.
Now the reason this came in a box this big is not because it's like ginormous.
I mean, it is a pretty big mouse pad.
But the reason it came in this sort of box I'm, too weak.
The whole reason it is packaged like this is because the people who created it don't want you to bend it.
They want you to keep it straight.
So they packaged it in a way where it's flat it never gets bent.
It never gets rolled up it's in another box.
This is the ninja artisan high-end, xl, soft.
I believe I guess I open it like, oh, my god.
This is so much packaging for a mouse pad, a mouse pad that costs around a hundred dollars, one of the most expensive and also kind of widely used mouse pads.
Part of the reason I wanted to try this out wasn't just because it was so expensive tons of pros like.
Bl, nebs iamzo.
My friend braids, they all use this mouse pad, it's, one of the most popular right now, oh, wait that's the back side.
You guys, can't even see the front yet front looks even cooler.
Oh, you see what I said about it, not being that big, though, like the xl of the epic whale mouse pad company won it's way longer than this.
But I mean, it's, big enough for fortnite, definitely long enough and wide enough.
It also just looks sick.
The red color is so freaking cool by the way check out the ninja branding, not ninja like the blue haired guy, trust me.
This is the artisan company.
They make some of the most hyped up and just pretty sick mouse pads around.
I actually used one like two years ago where it was made of glass.
So like there was a glass coating over it.
Don't worry.
There is no glass on this.
One it's supposed to be like really soft, but also kind of textured like the mousepad company.
I've heard it's amazing for your glide and we're going to try it out a 100 artisan.
Maybe it will make me a pro, but probably not it's finally time for the most requested, or at least the most anticipated mouse pad.
We will try out this like I said, boys and girls is the wine red artisan cayenne soft.
I think the name is, uh by the way you might notice I am in tilted.
So, ah, oh, this thing's fast, I'm in tilted zone, wars.
Because the last time we played this.
It was like insanely fun.
This thing is fast as hell holy crap.
My mechanics are gonna look crazy.
Okay, I feel like tilted zone wars.
You gotta fight so many people.
Ah, I tried to shoot the smg it's, a charge smg bro.
The kind of closest way I would describe this feeling is it's actually weirdly similar to the epic whale.
The last mousepad we looked at from the mousepad company.
The texture is like rough, it's, almost rougher than the mousepad company, which is like surprising.
I like it.
But at the same time it is fast.
I can already feel like my crosshair placement is kind of off we'll.
See how bad my aim is.
Okay.
This guy like, oh, his friends, afk monkey.
Sorry, buddy.
I will gladly take that aim, oh tracking's, not bad time to land on this guy's dome, oh my, gosh.
What yo what is going on in this game mode? Oh it's like a little too fast, I'm missing edits.
Wait.
Okay.
I got two builds what about a little mantle and then another mantle.
And then another slide cracked that, oh whoo.
First in game, impressions, this mouse pad is pretty good.
I really don't think I'm used to the speed yet it's kind of like the opposite of the first mouse pad.
Obviously not like the same size.
But the first mousepad was a lot slower.
Ah, this one on the other hand, a lot fast.
What am I looking at? Ah, I'm, not gonna lie boys.
I think it just might be preference like that straight up might be.
It.
Can I hit a clip though, oh that's, not good I'm behind the wall moral of the story boys and girls.
Another papagerian lesson while a more expensive mousepad, such as the one I'm using, you know, it will probably have a good glide for a while I see you what the oh you did not want to do that what I was trying to say before I was rudely, interrupted is that while a more expensive mouse pad like this one, you know, it's probably made of better materials it'll last longer at the same time like you guys saw it with the first mouse pad, it's, really not that bad.
It was small.
But the glide was fine in general, any sort of mouse pad.
You can make work as long as you either okay.
Never mind as long as you either get used to the glide you like the glide in general.
What is this guy doing dead? My point for this video is that the price of a mouse pad really does not matter use what you prefer.
And what you like, I think out of all these.
I actually liked the epic whale one, which was the middle price, the best just because I'm like used to the glide.
It was also the biggest.
So I mean, oh our more expensive, mousepads better.
Oh, the answer is, yes, ah.
